Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
The Day Before Surgery:
- Review all your instructions and be sure you have all
of your medications and supplies.
- Confirm your transportation. Remember!! You must
have someone bring you to and from the Surgery Center the
day of surgery and the next morning for your post-op
appointment.
- Take your medications as instructed.
- Do not eat or drink anything after midnight.
The Morning of Surgery:
- Shower and wash your hair, face and neck thoroughly
with antibacterial soap. Do not apply any type of
make-up, perfume, lotion, moisturizers, etc.!! Do not
apply hairspray, gel, or any hair products.
- You may brush your teeth and rinse your mouth, but do
not eat or drink anything.
- Men should shave closely. This does not include
beards or mustaches unless otherwise instructed.
- Be sure to wear a shirt that buttons down the front,
sweat pants or pants that can be taken off and put on
easily, and socks (no pantyhose).
- ALL VALUABLES SHOULD BE LEFT AT HOME. DO NOT WEAR ANY
JEWELRY.
- Bring any medications or supplies that you have been
instructed to bring.
