Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

The Day Before Surgery:

1. Review all your instructions and be sure you have all of your medications and supplies.
2. Confirm your transportation.  Remember!!  You must have someone bring you to and from the Surgery Center the day of surgery and the next morning for your post-op appointment.
3. Take your medications as instructed.
4. Do not eat or drink anything after midnight.

The Morning of Surgery:

1. Shower and wash your hair, face and neck thoroughly with antibacterial soap.  Do not apply any type of make-up, perfume, lotion, moisturizers, etc.!!  Do not apply hairspray, gel, or any hair products.
2. You may brush your teeth and rinse your mouth, but do not eat or drink anything.
3. Men should shave closely.  This does not include beards or mustaches unless otherwise instructed.
4. Be sure to wear a shirt that buttons down the front, sweat pants or pants that can be taken off and put on easily, and socks (no pantyhose).
5. ALL VALUABLES SHOULD BE LEFT AT HOME.  DO NOT WEAR ANY JEWELRY.
6. Bring any medications or supplies that you have been instructed to bring.
